True story: Customer-turned-friend, Anne, had some skin issues that needed surgery. At her 6 month follow up, her dermatologist not only gave her the all-clear but remarked at how fantastic she was doing. That sounded like a product to me. With a few refinements, we developed Lā.

While our Ili Oil is technically a serum because it builds collagen and elastin, we have saved that special designation for our La and Po Facial Serums. This is the same formula we used for top seller Nani, just renamed to focus on what it does best.

We start with Hawaiian kukui nut oil, famous for its healing and skin supporting properties. We add vegetable glycerine as an humectant to help the skin hold moisture. Then we use anti-oxidant dense seed oils, including rose hip seed oil, carrot seed oil, and moringa seed oil.

Karen's relatives from France were visiting Luana Farm, the mosquitoes were in full force, and they smelled "fresh blood." Karen thought about which plants on our farm didn't have mosquitoes buzzing around them and mixed up some essential oils that provided instant relief. With some further research and discussions with a visiting entomologist (we had a dengue scare on The Big Island) we now have a ridiculously effective DEET-free repellent.

Cinnamon, catnip, rosemary, lemon eucalyptus, and much more; there are over 80 drops of essential oil in every bottle of Hemu. Combined with castor oil, which fools the mosquitoes into thinking you are a tree, and witch hazel to create an aura of protection due to evaporation, and you have never been safer from those flying pests.
